The photo shooting reveals very promising results!

Quality is more important than quantity: Elmar Lesch and Iris Schless have made no compromises regarding the health and quality of the selection of the highly talented eventing horses they are presenting to their clients. A choice collection of very strictly controlled horses will be presented at the start of the 2013 season. The collection will not only be highly appreciated by the amateur rider but also by the professionals.

On 9th March 2013, 15 Top Eventers aged between 5 and 8 yrs will be available for sale at Elmar Lesch’s Equestrian Centre. Most strongly represented are the 5 yr olds with a total of 10 aspirants.

Also to be found in this age group are a number of very special candidates which Elmar Lesch finds particularly interesting. “Even though these youngsters are only at the very beginning of their training, they are already showing their high potential. It is very satisfying to see them develop further during their daily work. I am convinced that several of these very talented horses will find their way to the National Championships in 2013 and/or 2014 or be the ideal partner for an up and coming young rider with the appropriate sporting perspectives. All avenues are open for them!”

The collection also contains experienced show horses ready to start the 2013 season with. Already successful up to class "L" the 6 – 8 year old Top Eventers can start at 1* level with their new riders – ideal for the ambitious amateur or junior aiming to take part in the junior championship or national championships.

The photo and video shootings were held on 25th Februaryand 4th March in Bavendorf. You can view the results on > Top-Eventers Sales Day | View Collection.

Greetings from Luca Toni

We have received an e mail with news of Luca Toni, who was sold at the Sales Day in 2011 and move across the Atlantic to his new home in the USA. The dark bay gelding has been performing very successfully, coming home with wins and placings up to novice and intermediate level. His American owner proudly tells us, he has not yet come back from an event without a placing and is the absolute star in her yard. Congratulations and all the best for the current season.

Spalding Labs Young Event Horse Championship in the USA

The 4 year old gelding Orlando (sire: Ostermond xx) who was bred in Bavaria returned to his yard from the US-Young Event Horse Championships with the silver medal. The Young Event Horse Championship features young horses (ages 4 and 5) competing in three sections: Conformation & Type, Dressage Test, and Jumping Test/Gallop/General Impression. The Young Event Horse classes focus on the education and preparation of the event horse in a correct and progressive manner. Congratulations to his rider and owner Dana Brandt and good luck for the future.

July 2010

Sahrendorf - Cross Country Youngster Class

Asante Sana was sold via The-Top-Eventers-Sales Days early this year and remained at Elmar Lech's Equine Centre for further training. Anna-Thea Jacobsen has been presenting her at shows. The 5 year old Trakehner mare came 9th in the Geländepferdeprüfung Kl. L (Novice) with an 8.0 and created a very good impression. One has to remember the mare has already been used successfully for breeding and her training started relatively late. However she is making excellent progress and we'll be hearing more about her in the future...

Good News from Switzerland

Amateur rider Daniel Cottie and First Dream became 4th at a B2 competition in Engelburg (SUI) and sent us some photos. Thank you very much and congratulations!
